What is nearby for walkers and swimmers?
The Garajau reserve, with its protected coastline for snorkelling and diving, is the closest attraction. The Ponta de São Lourenço trail (PR 8) starts about 16.5 km away in a straight line at Baía d'Abra; CAM line 702 Funchal / Caniçal – Baía d'Abra ends there, so plan a connection via Funchal or check where the routes meet.
